Participants’ Responsibilities and Disclaimers

1. Equipment Responsibility

  • 1.1: Participants are solely responsible for the safety, care, and operation of their own photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, tripods, flashes, and any other accessories. The organiser is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or malfunction of participants’ equipment during the workshop.
  • 1.2: Participants are advised to carry adequate insurance for their equipment, particularly for outdoor and public locations. The organiser does not provide insurance coverage for participants’ personal equipment.

2. Personal Conduct

  • 2.1: Participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner towards the models, other participants, and the general public. Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the participant being asked to leave the workshop without a refund.
  • 2.2: Participants agree to follow any safety guidelines and instructions provided by the organiser or venue staff to ensure a safe and productive environment for all involved.

3. Model Interaction

  • 3.1: Interaction with the models should be professional and respectful at all times. Participants must adhere to any directions given by the organiser regarding model posing and interaction. Models are not to be touched or directed in a manner that makes them uncomfortable.
  • 3.2: Photographs of the models are for personal portfolio use only unless otherwise agreed in writing. Participants must obtain explicit permission from the organiser and the models for any commercial use of the images.

4. Liability and Disclaimers

  • 4.1: The organiser accepts no liability for any personal injuries, accidents, or health issues arising from participation in the workshop. Participants are encouraged to carry their own personal liability and health insurance.
  • 4.2: The organiser is not responsible for any unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, that may affect the workshop. Contingency plans will be communicated where possible, but no refunds will be issued for weather-related disruptions unless specified otherwise.
  • 4.3: The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the schedule or locations as deemed necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes in advance where possible.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • 5.1: Participants must notify the organiser in advance if they are unable to attend the workshop. Refunds are not available unless a replacement participant is found or the organiser has a waiting list. A £5 administrative fee will apply to all refunds.
  • 5.2: If the workshop is cancelled by the organiser, a full refund will be issued to participants. However, the organiser is not liable for any additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation.

6. Emergency Situations

  • 6.1: In the event of an emergency, participants should follow the organiser’s instructions and local emergency procedures. It is the participant’s responsibility to inform the organiser of any medical conditions or concerns that may affect their participation.

7. Image Rights and Releases

  • 7.1: Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate permissions for any images they wish to use commercially. The organiser will provide model release forms, but participants must ensure their use complies with all relevant legal requirements.
