Jazz on the Pantiles—Meet the Musicians: Vince Dunn
In the heart of Tunbridge Wells, Thursday nights in the summer months come alive with the sounds of Jazz on The Pantiles.

I went to photograph The Vince Dunn Quartet with world-renowned drummer Vince Dunn along with Mark Armstrong on the trumpet,
Chris Jerome on piano and Miles Danso on bass.
The Vince Dunn Quartet offered up an an eclectic mix of jazz styles and all the musicians in the band are top players who’ve been performing for decades with some of the biggest names in music.
As I was photographing for Jazz on the Pantiles, I wanted to capture not just the band, and what makes them unique and different, but also the atmosphere of the late summer vibe of The Pantiles.
People dressing up to go out—to eat al fresco, in balmy summer evenings, relaxing with great food, wine and music. And it doesn’t take long before the audience are up and dancing to the beat along with the band!

Miles Danso
Just check out #milesdansoonbass, and you’ll find that this amazing (and stylish and dapper) double bass player doesn’t seem to ever post on social media, but he’s played all over the world, with countless bands and musicians, including in New Orleans, home of Jazz, and also also performed and recorded with Courtney Pine.
“It was great to perform with people of this calibre. All these guys are at the very top of their game and on the night, delivered a real entertaining eclectic mix of jazz and popular music. By the end of our performance the crowd were up dancing and cheering for more”
